CVE-2026-9129
A path traversal flaw in Altium Enterprise Server Viewer allows an authenticated user to read any file on the server’s local filesystem. By supplying a URL‑encoded absolute path, the storage root is ignored, exposing sensitive configuration files. This can lead to full server compromise.
No official fix yet. If none appears within 45 days of first tracking, this entry is removed automatically.
Who is affected
Altium Enterprise Server Viewer on‑premise installations that use local filesystem storage.
Real-world impact
An attacker can read arbitrary files, including the master configuration that contains database credentials, signing keys, certificate passwords, and OAuth secrets, enabling full compromise of the server and its data.
Why this severity
The CVSS score of 9.4 reflects the combination of low attack complexity, local privilege requirement, and the high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability due to the ability to read critical configuration files and compromise the system.
What to do about it
No official fix or mitigation is documented in the sources yet. Monitor the vendor advisory and apply the patch as soon as it is released.
