CVE-2026-9065
SureCart versions before 4.2.1 are vulnerable to a serious SQL injection attack that can let an authenticated attacker extract or modify database data. The flaw is caused by a flaw in the query builder that bypasses escaping when a dot is present in input. This allows attackers to run arbitrary SQL queries.
An official fix is available, so this entry is kept for 30 days and then removed automatically.
Who is affected
SureCart, versions earlier than 4.2.1, used by e-commerce sites running the SureCart plugin.
Real-world impact
An attacker who can authenticate to the site could read sensitive data, modify or delete records, and potentially take full control of the database.
Why this severity
The CVSS score of 9.3 reflects the high impact of the vulnerability: it requires authentication but allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL, giving them full access to the database (high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact).
What to do about it
- 01Upgrade SureCart to version 4.2.1 or later.
