A path traversal flaw in Plesk's Backup Manager lets an authenticated customer write arbitrary files as root. This could allow attackers to modify system files or install malware. The flaw is critical with a CVSS score of 9.9.

Plesk users who have the Backup Manager feature enabled and can authenticate to the Plesk control panel.
Real-world impact
An attacker who can log in to Plesk can use the Backup Manager to write any file on the server as root, enabling full system compromise.
