An official fix is available, so this entry is kept for 30 days and then removed automatically.
Who is affected
Apple devices running iOS, iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, tvOS, visionOS, or watchOS before version 26.6.
Real-world impact
An attacker who can physically approach the device could corrupt memory, potentially taking control of the device, stealing data, or causing a crash.
Why this severity
The CVSS score of 9.8 reflects that the flaw can be exploited remotely with no user interaction, no privileges, and it compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The low attack complexity and lack of required privileges make it highly dangerous.
What to do about it
- 011. Update your device to iOS 26.6 or later, or the equivalent version for your platform (iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, tvOS, visionOS, watchOS).
- 022. Restart the device to ensure the update takes effect.
