CVE-2026-60537
Oracle’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) component in Fusion Middleware has a critical flaw that lets a low‑privilege attacker who can reach the system over HTTP take over the MFT service. The issue affects versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 and can also impact other products because the vulnerability changes the scope of the attack.
No official fix yet. If none appears within 45 days of first tracking, this entry is removed automatically.
Who is affected
Oracle Managed File Transfer product of Oracle Fusion Middleware, versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0.
Real-world impact
A successful exploit would give an attacker full control of the MFT server, allowing them to read, modify, or delete files and potentially compromise other connected systems, leading to loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Why this severity
The CVSS score of 9.9 reflects that the attack is easy to execute (low complexity), requires only low privileges, no user interaction, and can be performed over the network. It also has a wide impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and the scope change means other components can be affected.
What to do about it
No official fix or mitigation is documented in the sources yet. Monitor the vendor advisory and apply the patch as soon as it is released.
