CVE-2026-47357

Terrascan versions 1.18.3 and earlier are vulnerable to a Server‑Side Request Forgery (SSRF) flaw when running in server mode. An unauthenticated attacker can supply a malicious HTTP URL that is passed directly to the underlying Go‑getter library, allowing the attacker to read local files and send stored credentials to an external host.

01

Who is affected

Terrascan v1.18.3 and earlier running in server mode (the server binds to 0.0.0.0 with no authentication).

02

Real-world impact

An attacker can read arbitrary files on the host running Terrascan and exfiltrate credentials stored in the user’s .netrc file, potentially compromising the entire system.

03

Why this severity

The CVSS score of 9.2 reflects the lack of authentication, the ability to read local files (high confidentiality impact), and the potential to exfiltrate credentials, all of which can lead to full system compromise.

04

What to do about it

no official fix yet

No official fix or mitigation is documented in the sources yet. Monitor the vendor advisory and apply the patch as soon as it is released.
