CVE-2026-43773
A flaw in macOS allows an attacker to read memory beyond intended bounds when a specially crafted disk image is mounted. This can cause the system to crash or corrupt kernel memory. The issue is fixed in newer releases of macOS Sequoia, Sonoma, and Tahoe.
An official fix is available, so this entry is kept for 30 days and then removed automatically.
Who is affected
macOS users running Sequoia, Sonoma, or Tahoe versions older than 15.7.8, 14.8.8, or 26.6 respectively.
Real-world impact
An attacker could crash the computer or corrupt critical system memory, leading to denial of service or potentially enabling further attacks.
