CVE-2025-41276
A critical flaw in Nozomi Networks Waterfall WF‑500 devices allows attackers to run any operating‑system command through the web interface without authentication. The vulnerability is present in firmware 7.9.1.0 R2502171040 and affects both TX and RX hosts. It can be exploited remotely over the network.
No official fix yet. If none appears within 45 days of first tracking, this entry is removed automatically.
Who is affected
Nozomi Networks Waterfall WF‑500 TX and RX hosts running firmware version 7.9.1.0 R2502171040.
Real-world impact
An attacker who reaches the device’s web UI can execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system, potentially taking full control of the device, exfiltrating data, or using it as a pivot point for further attacks.
Why this severity
The CVSS score of 9.3 reflects the combination of remote, unauthenticated access (AV:N, PR:N) and the ability to execute high‑impact commands that can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability (VC:H, VI:H, VA:H). The lack of required privileges or user interaction makes the risk especially severe.
What to do about it
No official fix or mitigation is documented in the sources yet. Monitor the vendor advisory and apply the patch as soon as it is released.
