CVE-2016-20052
Snews CMS 1.7 contains an unrestricted file upload flaw that lets anyone upload and run PHP files on the server. An attacker can place malicious code in the snews_files directory and execute it by visiting the file’s URL, giving full control over the site. The vulnerability is critical because it requires no authentication and allows complete remote code execution.
No official fix yet. If none appears within 45 days of first tracking, this entry is removed automatically.

Real-world impact
An attacker can upload arbitrary PHP scripts and run them, effectively taking over the web server. This can lead to data theft, site defacement, installation of backdoors, and further compromise of the underlying operating system.
